of environmental services. We are committed to providing high-quality
services to our clients at a competitive rate.
Remote Sensing
TouchStone Environmental provides a wide range
of remote sensing services and products to complement environmental
monitoring and environmental impact assessment projects. We assist
our clients by selecting appropriate imagery, performing image correction
and orthorectification, and extracting relevant, quantitave information
from it. Our specialties include image classification, vegetation
analysis, and multitemporal change detection.
GIS Mapping and Geographic Data
Analysis
TouchStone provides a wide range of GIS services
useful to planners, resource managers, and policy makers. We are capable
of developing geographic data, conducting complex spatial and 3D analysis,
and producing high-quality maps for project planning, public consultation,
and technical reports. Our familiarity with GPS, CAD, and database
data formats allows us to incorporate information from a variety of
sources. We also develop custom GIS training materials which can include
individual or classroom training sessions to suit the specific needs
of our clients.
GPS Surveys
TouchStone Environmental offers the full range
of GPS data collection services including data dictionary design,
project planning, data collection, and data integration. We have
worked extensively with both Trimble and Garmin GPS receivers for
data collection and navigation purposes. We
are Resource Inventory Committee GPS Field Operator certified.
Fish and Fish Habitat Inventory
Our expertise includes conducting freshwater
aquatic surveys using BC Fisheries Reconnaissance (1:20,000) Fish
and Fish Habitat Inventory, Sensitive Habitat Inventory Mapping (SHIM),
and Streamkeepers protocols. We have certification as a backpack electrofishing
crew supervisor.
Wildlife and Habitat Assessment
TouchStone Environmental has experience conducting
wildlife surveys, habitat assessments, and biological inventories.
Our experience spans terrestrial, freshwater aquatic, and intertidal
habitats. We have conducted surveys in British Columbia, Alberta,
and California.
